אישון לילה, ספטמבר 1997, כוח לוחמי שייטת צועד לתוך מארב קטלני בלבנון. 11 מלוחמי הכח נהרגו. גופתו של אחד מהם נשארה מאחור – איתמר, אחי הגדול. עם הדפיקה על דלת הבית בו גדלתי, טיולים שנתיים התחלפו בטקסים ממלכתיים, נשיקות ראשונות בצפירות. 25 שנים אחרי אני מתדפקת על הדלת של מי שחנכו אותי אל השכול: מודיעים, קצינת הנפגעים, האבא והאמא השכולים שהם האבא והאמא שלי. Twilight, September 1997, a naval combat force marches into a deadly ambush in Lebanon. 11 of the power fighters were killed. The body of one of them was left behind - Itamar, my older brother. With the knock on the door of the house where I grew up, annual trips were replaced by state ceremonies, first kisses with sirens. 25 years later I am knocking on the door of those who introduced me to bereavement: informants, the casualty officer, the bereaved father and mother who are my father and mother.
